The RAAFT trial is an admirable beginning but it will not establish
ablation as first line therapy. The follow up is only one year, it is
not powered to detect rare complications, and I believe intermittent
monitoring (as opposed to 7 day Holters as used by Hindricks) will
underestimate the incidence of asymptomatic AF.
