Regarding the issue of sharing the results of genetic tests with family
members, I wholeheartedly agree with Peter Schwartz and the other
responders that we have a moral obligation to prevail upon the proband
to divulge the results of a disease-causing mutation to his/her extended
family.  Please note however that in the United States, HIPPA
regulations prohibit sharing of information even within a family.
