Dear colleagues,
Congratulations to everyone, and especially to the organizers, for this
great chance to establish this connection through the net. About the
case of this girl with WPW Syndrome and dilated cardiomyopathy, I think
the first thing to do is learn the exact location of this pathway, and
thus establish the possibilities of ablation and the risks. And later
establish a follow up period to check the response of the ventricular
function.
I agree that the placement of a resynchronizer is highly controversial
in the pediatric population, for all the reasons expressed by Dr.
Rodriguez Artuza.

>> COLLEAGUES OF THE CRT SYMPOSIUM : My name is Pedro de la Paz, a
>> pediatric cardiologist of Matanzas, Cuba. I would ask you about a 4
>> years old girl, with a Dilated Cardiomiopathy, symptomatic (class
>> II-III NYHA) with severe depressed LVEF, less than 30%, under
>> treatment with furosemide, spironolactone, captopril and carvedilol,
>> a WPW syndrome and a simple sinusal arrhythmia (probable sinus node
>> dysfunction), is it possible to consider the electrical device
>> implantation (PM), to improve her VI disfunction ?
