Dear ARVD-forum Organizers and Dr. Cordero:
  As I proposed in the April ARVD Symposium, currently I am investigating
the ECG T wave patterns in ARVD children age 0-18 with comparison of age-
and gender- matched normal children supported by a large based ARVD family
support group led by Mrs. Micheline (Tink) Long and Patricia O'Neil. Our
goal is to identify the subtle ECG changes during the disease development in
this age group in order to improve the early ECG diagnosis. We are willing
to dedicate this study to the ARVD-forum. During the ECG evaluation we will
consult with the ARVD experts in the forum. To get the full picture, I am
inviting each of you to join this study by contributing the ECGs of ARVD
children or children from ARVD families at Li.Zhang at ihc.com. Every ECG
counts, together we may be able to see black and white.
  Studying ECG T-U wave abnormalities in cardiac diseases is my primary
research interest (Circulation 2000;102:2849-55; Circulation
2005;111:2720-26). Please join us and we greatly appreciate your
contributions.

Estimados Organizadores del Foro de DAVD y Dr. Cordero:
Como propuse en el Simposio de abril sobre DAVD, actualmente estoy
investigando los patrones ECG de la onda T en la DAVD, en ninios con edades
entre 0 y 18, pareados por edad y sexo con ninios normales, con el respaldo
de un gran grupo de apoyo a familias con DAVD, dirigido por la Sra.
Micheline (Tink) Long y Patricia O'Neil. Nuestro objetivo es identificar los
sutiles cambios ECG durante el desarrollo de la enfermedad en este grupo
etario, para mejorar el diagnostico ECG precoz. Estamos dispuestos a dedicar
este estudio al foro de DAVD. Durante la evaluacion ECG consultaremos con
los expertos de DAVD del foro. Para que tengan una idea completa, los invito
a cada uno de Uds. a unirse a este estudio contribuyendo con los ECG de
ninios con DAVD o ninios de familias con DAVD a: Li.Zhang at ihc.com . Cada ECG
es importante; juntos podemos ver las cosas con mayor claridad.
El estudio de las anormalidades ECG de la onda T-U en las enfermedades
cardiacas es mi principal interes de investigacion (Circulation
2000;102:2849-55; Circulation 2005;111:2720-26). Por favor, unanse a

I have a 9-month-old boy, with incessant ventricular tachycardia at 240 bpm,
echo with severe RV dilatation and magnetic resonance imaging that suggests
ARVD. Besides antiarrhythmic agents (he was responsive to propafenone and
propranolol), should a cardioverter defibrillator be implanted?
The mother had 2 pregnancies that ended in death of the ovum and scrape, and
the 3rd pregnancy is this child with the problem. Thank you for your
comments.

Tengo un niño de 9 meses de edad, con taquicardia ventrcular incesante a 240
latidos por minuto, eco con dilatación del VD severa y una imagen de
resonancia magnética sugestiva de DAVD, aparte de los antiarritmicos
(respondió a propafenona y porpranolol), se debe colocar un
cardiodesfibrilador?
La madre tuvo 2 embarazos que terminanron en huevo muerte retenido y
legrados, y el 3er embarazo es el niño problema. Gracias por sus comentarios
