Dear Tink and Patricia:
  Your observations, concerns and the suggestion re. the ARVD children
are all very important. I think the purposes of this forum are not only
to educate physicians and increase the public awareness about ARVD, but
also to promote research interest which may help to improve the
diagnosis and treatment.
  My primary research interest is the ECG T wave abnormalities in
cardiac diseases (Circulation 2000;102:2849-55; JACC 2004;44:1283-91,
and Circulation May 31 issue in press). I have experience in
multi-center & multi-national studies. Currently I am studying the T
wave evolution in children from newborn to 15 years and have collected a
good body of ECGs of normal children by yearly groups. For example, in
normal children, the T wave in V1-3 are all inverted in very young
children (age under 2) because of the relatively right dominant at
birth. It  becomes to upright in the order of V3 to V2 progressively
during the childhood development. I am willing to join you and other
ARVD experts to study the difference between ARVD and age-matched normal
children. The right ventricular myocyte atrophy with fibrofatty
replacement is not a overnight phenomena, the concealed patients
especially children needs to be carefully identified. If interested,

Sus observaciones, intereses y las sugerencias acerca de los ninios con DAVD
son muy importantes. Creo que los propositos de este foro no son solo educar
medicos e incrementar la conciencia publica acerca de la DAVD, sino tambien
promover el interes en investigaciones que puedan ayudar a mejorar el
diagnostico y el tratamiento.
Mi interes fundamental en la investigacion son las anormalidades de la onda
T en el ECG en las enfermedades cardiacas (Circulation 2000;102:2849-55;
JACC 2004;44:1283-91,
and Circulation May 31 issue in press). Tengo experiencia en estudios
multicentricos y multinacionales. Actualmente, estoy estudiando la evolucion
de la onda T en ninios desde los recien nacidos hasta los 15 anios y he
reunido una gran cantidad de ECGs de ninios normales por grupos etarios. Por
ejemplo, en ninios normales, la onda T en V1-3 esta siempre invertida en
ninios muy pequenios (menores de 2 anios) debido al predominio derecho
relativo en el nacimiento. Se vuelve vertical en V3 a V2 progresivamente
durante el desarrollo infantil. Tengo deseos de unirme a ustedes y a otros
expertos en DAVD para estudiar la diferencia entre ninios con DAVD y ninios
normales pareados por edad. La atrofia miocitica del ventriculo derecho con
reemplazo fibroadiposo no es un fenomeno que suceda de la noche a la
maniana, los pacientes ocultos, especialmente los ninios, necesitan ser
