About your question, I could say that there is not much difference
between wavelet and spectral analysis, since the results obtained
from these two methods are similar. Other methods mentioned by you
may contribute additional information. The most important thing is
not using different methods, but to interpret them correctly and to
propose the objectives appropriately.
