[AF Symposium]

RAAFT的主要目的不是把消融设立成一线治疗，而是检 
测其与传统治疗方法相比的有效性。同样，这一实验 
也是第一个系统评价其安全性的实验（8个国家的30余 
家中心）。患者将接受电话监控随访，在21个月期间 
将每日传输两次ECG数据。低估房颤发生风险的可能性 
较小。

The primary purpose of the RAAFT study is not to establish AF
ablation as first-line treatment, but to establish the efficacy of
this treatment in comparison to conventional management.
Likewise, this study will be the first study to systematically assess
the safety of this procedure in 30 centers in 8 countries. The
patients will receive a transtelephonic monitor and transmit twice a
day electrocardiographic tracings during 21 months. The possibility
of underestimating asymptomatic AF is real but minimal.
